In 2015, Emma Larsson moved from Stockholm to New York for work. Homesick and craving the authentic Swedish candies she grew up with, she couldn't find anything that came close to the real thing.

What started as sending care packages to friends became a small online shop. Word spread quickly — expats, travelers, and candy enthusiasts across America discovered what they'd been missing. Within a year, Velvet Candies was born.

Today, we import over 200 varieties of authentic Swedish sweets directly from family-owned manufacturers in Sweden, ensuring every piece tastes exactly like it should — just like Emma remembers.
