These Terms & Conditions apply when you visit velvetcandies.com, create an account or purchase products from Velvet Candies. They should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping & Delivery Policy and Returns & Refunds Policy.

By placing an order, you confirm that you are legally capable of entering into the purchase contract and that the information you provide is accurate.

Placing an Order

Your completed checkout is an offer to purchase the products in your basket. An automated order confirmation acknowledges receipt but does not necessarily mean the order has been accepted. The purchase contract is formed when we confirm dispatch, unless applicable law provides otherwise.

We may decline or cancel an order before dispatch when a product is unavailable, payment cannot be authorised, information is incomplete, a price or description contains an obvious error, delivery is unavailable, quantity limits apply or fraud or misuse is reasonably suspected. If payment has already been taken, the affected amount will be refunded.

Prices and Currency

• Prices are shown in the currency selected for your market or displayed at checkout
• Velvet Candies does not charge or collect sales tax
• Shipping charges, discounts and the final order total are shown before payment
• International customs or import fees imposed by the destination are separate from amounts charged by us
• Prices and promotions may change, but a confirmed order is not changed except to correct an agreed error

Payment

Payment is due at checkout using one of the methods displayed. By submitting payment details, you confirm that you are authorised to use that method. Payments are processed by Shopify and supported payment providers.

Order Emails

We send an order confirmation to the email address supplied at checkout and a separate tracking message after dispatch. Contact support@velvetcandies.com if an expected message is missing after you have checked your spam folder.

• United Kingdom: 2–4 business days
• Europe: 2–4 business days
• Rest of the world: 3–7 business days

Shipping Charges

Orders over £50 GBP qualify for free shipping. For orders below that threshold, the available rate is calculated and displayed at checkout.

Delivery

Delivery dates are estimates rather than guarantees. Weekends, public holidays, carrier disruption, weather, customs inspections and incorrect address information may affect timing. We remain responsible for goods until they are delivered as required by applicable consumer law.

International Orders

Velvet Candies does not charge sales tax. A destination country may separately apply import duties, customs handling or other local charges. The customer is responsible for these charges where legally applicable.

30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee

Contact us within 30 days of delivery if you wish to request a return, refund or exchange. Approval depends on product condition, the reason for the request and applicable consumer rights.

Food-Product Restrictions

For hygiene and food-safety reasons, opened candy is not normally returnable for a simple change of mind. We will review products that are damaged, incorrect, defective or affected by a genuine quality problem.

Return Process

1. Email support@velvetcandies.com with the order number and relevant evidence
2. Wait for authorisation and the correct return address
3. Follow the supplied packing and postage instructions
4. Approved refunds are sent to the original payment method

Customers normally pay approved change-of-mind return postage. When an error is ours, we will confirm an appropriate correction without requiring the customer to bear the reasonable cost caused by that error.

Descriptions and Images

We take reasonable care to present products accurately. Packaging, colour, size, assortment and appearance may vary slightly because of manufacturer updates, screen settings or natural product variation. Material substitutions will not be made without updating the order or obtaining agreement where required.

Ingredients and Allergens

Ingredients and allergen information vary by product and manufacturer. Always review the product page and the physical packaging before eating, particularly if you have an allergy, intolerance or dietary requirement. Contact us before purchase if you need help checking available information.

Storage and Best-Before Dates

Follow the storage and best-before information printed on the package. Most sweets should be kept sealed in a cool, dry place away from heat and sunlight.

Availability

All products are subject to availability. If an item becomes unavailable after ordering, we will contact you about a refund or another option rather than make an unapproved substitution.

An account is optional. If you create one, you must provide accurate information, keep login credentials confidential and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

We may restrict or suspend an account where reasonably necessary to protect customers or the store, investigate fraud, address serious misuse or enforce these Terms. We will act proportionately and preserve mandatory rights.

• Promotions apply only during their stated period and while qualifying stock lasts
• Eligibility, minimum spend, excluded products and market restrictions may apply
• Discount codes cannot be combined unless the offer expressly permits it
• A code must be entered before payment and cannot normally be applied retrospectively
• We may refuse deliberate misuse, duplication, resale or manipulation of an offer
• If a promotion conflicts with mandatory consumer rights, those rights prevail

Store Content

The Velvet Candies name, branding, original text, graphics, photographs, layouts and other store content are protected by intellectual-property laws or used under licence. You may view the website and share ordinary links for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may not reproduce, scrape, republish, sell, modify or commercially exploit protected content without permission, except where law expressly allows it.

Reviews and Submitted Content

If you voluntarily submit a review, photograph or other content, you confirm that you have the right to do so and that it is lawful and accurate. You grant Velvet Candies a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce and adapt that content for operating and promoting the store. This licence does not transfer ownership of your content.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or breach of mandatory consumer rights.

Subject to those protections, Velvet Candies is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed, losses caused by information or circumstances supplied by the customer, or business losses arising from a consumer purchase.

We do not guarantee that the website will always be uninterrupted or free from every technical error, but this does not affect responsibility for orders already accepted or rights that apply by law.

You must not use the website to break the law, infringe another person's rights, submit malicious code, interfere with security, access accounts or systems without permission, collect personal information unlawfully, place fraudulent orders or abuse promotions.

We may take proportionate steps to protect the store and its users, including blocking malicious traffic, cancelling fraudulent transactions or restricting access connected with serious misuse.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you retain any mandatory protections and court rights provided by the law of your usual place of residence.

Entire Agreement

These Terms and the policies linked from them form the agreement relating to website use and customer purchases, without limiting rights implied by law.

Severability

If a provision is found unlawful or unenforceable, it will be adjusted or removed only to the necessary extent and the remaining provisions will continue.

No Waiver

A delay in enforcing a right does not automatically waive it.

Events Beyond Reasonable Control

We are not responsible for delay caused by events genuinely outside reasonable control, but we will communicate significant disruption and continue to meet any obligations that law does not allow us to exclude.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms for future website use and orders. The version applying to an order is normally the version in effect when that order was placed.
